ad va·lo·rem /ˌad və-ˈlȯr-əm/ Latin, adj. "according to value" — the foundational principle of every property tax in Texas.

One platform for your public website and your AI layer, built around how a CAD actually operates instead of retrofitted from a generic city-website template.

Coming soon A self-service free trial — spin up your own demo site without booking a call first.

Two products today, a third on the way

A website your staff can run, and an assistant that helps everyone use it.

Every Valorem district runs on the same two pieces: a visual page builder that publishes a real, compliant site, and an AI-guided layer that helps residents and staff find their way around it. A third piece, property search on the district's own site, is coming soon.

01 / PLATFORM

The website platform

A multi-tenant CMS and public site built for appraisal districts, not a page builder borrowed from real-estate or restaurant templates.

  • Block-based Page Builder: drag sections to reorder them, with a live preview at desktop, tablet, and mobile sizes as you type
  • Data-driven blocks that stay current: notices, board members, staff, meetings, forms, and links all pull live from your records instead of being retyped as static text
  • Fourteen ready-made site designs and color themes to launch from, each restyling the whole site, and switching never touches your content
  • Protest, ARB, records, and employment pages written around how Texas ARB processes actually work
  • A Calendar carrying board and ARB meetings alongside deadlines, holidays, and office closures, plus Data Downloads, Abstracts & Subdivisions pages that update themselves as entries are added
  • Page titles and meta descriptions that fill themselves in from your content on save, and never overwrite anything you wrote yourself
  • A built-in Support Center with a guided setup tutorial and a searchable staff guide

02 / ASSISTANT

The AI assistant

An AI-guided help layer built into every Valorem site, in two places at once: the public site and the admin. It searches your district's actual content instead of pulling answers from a generic FAQ.

  • A floating assistant on your public site that helps residents find protest deadlines, forms, and notices
  • A matching "Ask the Docs" panel in the admin that walks staff through publishing and platform questions
  • Grounded in your district's real pages and the Support Center guide today, with a fully conversational model on our roadmap
  • The same panel design across public and admin, so the experience doesn't change depending on who's asking
  • Can be switched off per district, and the Ask First design falls back to a plain property-search box when it is

Already have a site?

We import it — you don't start from a blank page.

Point the importer at your current site's address and it does the first pass for you. Nobody on your staff has to retype years of board minutes and forms by hand. How the importer works.

  1. Scan. Give it your current site's address. It crawls every page it can reach, politely and within your site's own rules.
  2. Read. AI reads each page and sorts what it finds — board members, staff, meetings, forms, notices, and general pages.
  3. Review. Nothing publishes automatically. Your team reviews what it found, page by page and category by category, before anything goes live.
  4. Import in batches, and undo anytime. Approve a category and it comes in as a draft. Change your mind? Any import can be undone by category, cleanly, without touching anything your staff built by hand.

Under the hood

Built for a page-builder that non-technical staff actually use.

Content

Tables that update themselves

A "Board Members" or "Meetings" block isn't typed text. It's a live query, so the page never goes stale — add a meeting once in the admin and it shows up everywhere it's referenced, agendas and minutes included.

Editing

Stacked, not free-form

Sections stack and reorder instead of a drag-anywhere canvas. That keeps pages clean and accessible no matter who's editing, on any screen size.

Preview

True live preview

The real site renders beside the editor as you type, at three breakpoints, including blocks that pull live data.

Access

Role-scoped by default

Super-admin, district-admin, and editor roles keep staff scoped to exactly what their job needs.

Onboarding

A guide, not a ticket queue

The Support Center's interactive setup tutorial deep-links straight into the admin screen each step needs.

Isolation

One platform, separate districts

Every district's data is walled off at the application level, so nothing about the platform lets one district see another's records, users, or files.

See it in action

This is what a Valorem district actually looks like.

Longhorn County Appraisal District is our standing demo — built entirely with the Page Builder, and you've already seen pieces of it above. Walk through the real site yourself.

Built around the rules you operate under

Texas Tax Code compliance, mapped into the product instead of left for your staff to research.

Appraisal district websites answer to specific statutes, not generic government-site best practice, and Valorem AI was built around those exact citations from day one.

§ 6.17
Website required

Districts of 120,000+ population must maintain a site, and every Valorem district starts from that baseline.

§ 26.17
Property tax database

A searchable, continuously updated county tax database, linked from your site as the statute requires.

§ 25.01(d)
Weekly appraisal record updates

Posted appraisal records refreshed at least weekly, as § 25.01(d) requires, not whenever someone remembers.

§ 41.415
Electronic protest filing

Homestead e-filing for districts of 500,000+, built around how ARB hearings actually run.

§§ 25.025–.027
Confidentiality restrictions

Protected home addresses and restricted imagery are handled as posting rules, not staff judgment calls.

WCAG 2.1 AA
Accessibility, ADA Title II

Built to the level the DOJ rule requires. Deadlines moved in April 2026: April 26, 2027 and April 26, 2028.

This isn't a certification claim. It's how the product is designed. Talk to us about where your district's specific setup currently stands against the statutes listed above, or read the full breakdown of every requirement.

Security

Built for the trust a government website has to earn.

Your taxpayers' data, your board's records, and your staff's accounts get the same protection whether your district has 8,000 parcels or 800,000. Full security and backup detail.

1 Infrastructure

  • Runs entirely on Cloudflare's global network, with always-on DDoS mitigation and a managed web application firewall in front of every request
  • Bot protection on public forms and admin login
  • TLS everywhere, certificates issued and renewed automatically
  • Cloudflare's own infrastructure is independently audited under SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS

2 Data protection

  • Every record and every uploaded document is encrypted at rest and in transit
  • Tenant isolation means one district's login can't see or reach another district's data
  • Confidential addresses and exemption-application documents are handled under Texas Tax Code posting rules instead of staff discretion
  • Submissions retained only as long as your district's records-retention obligations require

3 Access & accountability

  • Role-based access scoped to exactly what each staff account needs
  • Two-factor authentication available on every admin account
  • Every meaningful admin change is logged and reviewable in a full audit trail
  • You control access, and can remove a departing employee's login immediately

4 Backups & recovery

  • Nightly backups of every page, record, form, image and document to separate, locked storage
  • Copies sit in storage safemode IT cannot delete for 90 days. 30 nightly copies are kept, plus one from the first of each month for the past year
  • Your district can be restored on its own, without affecting any other district on the platform
  • A site cannot be deleted on the spot by anyone, us included. It goes offline first and stays recoverable for 30 days, and nobody can shorten that window
Nightly immutable backups Cloudflare-certified infrastructure Encrypted at rest & in transit Full tenant isolation 2FA available on every account Complete audit trail Tax Code–aware confidentiality 30-day deletion recovery

Who it's for

Built for the people who actually run a Texas appraisal district.

Not a generic city-website template with a "government" theme applied — Valorem AI is built around the day-to-day of a CAD's own staff and the residents who show up looking for a form or a deadline.

  • Chief appraisers who need a compliant, up-to-date site without becoming their district's part-time webmaster
  • IT staff who'd rather not maintain a CMS built for restaurants or real estate agents
  • Boards of directors who want a modern public face for their district without a multi-year rebuild

Getting started

From kickoff to a live, compliant site.

01

Kickoff & branding

We set up your district's site with your colors, seal, and domain, and walk your team through the admin.

02

Build & migrate

Your staff can populate board, staff, meetings, notices, and forms with the Page Builder — or point our importer at your current site and it drafts all of that for your team to review.

03

Go live

We cut over DNS once the security checklist is done: 2FA enforced, forms protected, and your staff trained through the Support Center.

Questions

What districts usually ask first.

Does Texas law actually require our appraisal district to have a website?

If your county's population is 120,000 or more, yes. Texas Tax Code § 6.17 requires it. Below that threshold it isn't mandated, but the other duties attach to whatever you do run: § 26.17's county tax database applies to every district, and §§ 25.025–25.027 restrict what you may post. That's why nearly every Texas CAD has a site regardless of size.

How is this different from a generic government-website builder?

Valorem AI is built around real Texas appraisal district workflows: protest filing, ARB procedures, the § 26.17 tax database, and Comptroller-form compliance. A generic city-website template leaves you to bolt all of that on yourself.

Is the "AI assistant" a real chatbot, or just a search box?

Right now it's an AI-guided layer that searches your district's actual published content (protest deadlines, forms, notices) on both the public site and the staff admin. A fully conversational model is on our roadmap, but it's not live yet, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

How long does it take to go live?

A few weeks from kickoff to launch, not months (see the steps above). Migrating your existing content used to be the biggest chunk of that time — now our importer reads and drafts most of it automatically, so more of that time goes to your team reviewing what it found and getting through branding.

How does the importer actually work?

You give it your current site's address. It crawls the pages it can reach, reads each one with AI, and sorts what it finds into board members, staff, meetings, forms, notices, and general pages. Nothing publishes automatically — your team reviews and approves it category by category, and any import can be undone cleanly if you change your mind. Property-search portals are kept as links; the importer never touches parcel or tax data.

Does Valorem AI include property search?

Not yet. Property search that runs on the district's own site is coming soon: search by owner name, address, or property ID, with records loaded from your appraisal software's data. It is not live today. Until it ships, your site's search box links to the property-search portal you already use.

Is there a free trial?

A self-service free trial is coming soon, so you'll be able to spin up your own demo site without booking a call first. It's not live yet — until then, request a walkthrough and we'll set you up personally.

Is our district's data isolated from other districts on the platform?

Yes. Valorem AI is multi-tenant by design: every district's records, users, and files are walled off from every other district at the application level, on infrastructure independently audited under SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.

Who hosts the site, and what happens to our data?

Everything runs on Cloudflare's global network, encrypted at rest and in transit. Confidential information, like protected home addresses and exemption-application documents, is handled under Texas Tax Code posting rules rather than left up to individual staff judgment.
